Who is Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc?
Just miles from Hide-Away Palmetto, sits Southeastern Guide Dogs’ world-renowned service dog facility. This wonderful organization provides life-changing services to people in need. They train service dogs for people with vision loss, veterans, and struggling military families. The services that this organization provides are free to recipients. Did we mention it’s the only guide dog facility of its kind in the Southeastern US?
About the 2022 Southeastern Guide Dogs Walkathon
The Southeastern Guide Dogs Walkathon has spread awareness for the organization for over 35 years. This free, family-friendly event includes a 3K walk, music, food, vendors, and a raffle drawing! Proceeds help the organization breed, raise, train, and match their amazing dogs with people in need! To take part in the walkathon, follow the steps below:
- First, register for the Walkathon!
- Next, donate to Southeastern Guide Dogs in your team’s name.
- Then, show up at North Straub Park in St. Petersburg on March 19, 2022! Enjoy the music, food, good company, and even better furry companions!
- Finally, post a picture using the hashtags #NatWalkDay2022, #SEGuideDogs, and #ProgressivePup.
