FT MYERS, FL (PRWeb) -- Hide-Away Storage was profiled on NBC-2 News on December 23, 2006 for its role in providing a convenient and safe place to hide Christmas presents. Self storage facilities are being considered “Santa’s new workshop” for hiding Christmas presents so children won’t find their gifts early, said NBC-2 News.
National studies have shown that people are beginning to ditch the traditional hiding spots for presents – in closets, garages, or even under beds – and are using self storage facilities to hide presents.
Loren Evans, the manager at Hide-Away Storage in Ft. Myers, FL, said that they have been busy recently, with as many as 20 people coming in to pick up gifts before the holiday weekend. “Some folks actually came in and wrapped presents here today.”
“People using self storage businesses to hide their presents is a growing trend in southwest Florida and across the country,” said NBC-2 News reporter, Josh Davidsburg.
Evans said that business at Hide-Away Storage after Christmas is just as busy, as everyone comes in to store their Christmas decorations until next year.
Hide-Away Storage Services has 10 large self-storage facilities on the West Coast of Florida in St. Petersburg, Ellenton, Bradenton, Sarasota, Ft. Myers and Naples. It also has two large mobile storage facilities to store its portable storage containers in Sarasota and Ft. Myers, with plans to build an additional mobile storage facility in Tampa.
