Good experience and didn't raise rates for 9 months. Units have drywall walls which sealed the unit. My old storage place had gaps between the roof and wall, and the floor and wall. There, the unit next to me had roaches and my stuff was covered in them. It was discusting! Hide-a-way was clean and roach free!

Hideaway Storage is a very nice, well kept environment to be able to store your belongings. The prices are the most affordable (trust me I shopped around). The manager, Jeff always takes the time to assist you if and when needed with patience and a smile on his face.

I've been a customer since 1983. They provide a good, secure, clean storage facility.

We have been a client for 32 years (1988), have worked with several managers over those years and every one of them was a gem. For all that time the air conditioned units, the floors, the bug control, the off hours access to the main building were always excellent. We couldn't have asked for a more safe or cleaner place for our belongings. The managerial teams were highly trained, courteous and very professional. Thanks for all of the years keeping watch over our stored items.

The air conditioned indoor storage units at Hide-a-way Storage on Cortez (8400) are clean, well lit and reasonable. Vivian is a doll to deal with as well. Highly recommend them. My sister uses an outside unit to store her things along with a 1966 Mustang!

Facility is spotless and so easy to use. There are always carts to use to transport back and forth from locker to the car. Vivian was super to work with. Climate control is excellent and security is strong. Convenient to IMG Academy for summer storage of dorm goods.

We have used Hideaway Storage at the 8400 West Cortez location for about 15 years. We were living in a small condo on one of the keys and the Hideaway on West Cortez was a great location to store our Christmas decorations, hurricane shutters, extra tile, etc. Another great thing about this facility is Vivian. Recently we needed several additional lockers to house items from a home we sold up north. She was so accommodating to our needs and was extremely helpful in advising us on the size of the lockers we needed and helping us select units that were close together and, at the end, helping us with the move out. She has always been friendly and is one of those special people that doesn’t hesitate to “go the extra mile.” We highly recommend this storage facility due to the location to Longboat Key, its extreme cleanliness, its 24/7 entry and most importantly, its excellent staff.

This is the best experience I’ve had with a storage facility. The people are so nice and you don’t have to give a months notice when you’re ready to vacate. It was so clean and pest free! We visited several facilities in the area before deciding which one to use and Hide-Away was the only one that was clean, mold free and pest free.

Tony did an awesome job of getting my account set up in very quickly so is able to get my stuff moved into the unit after work before the office closed. Terrific location and very clean and well-maintained with 24 hour access and and on site live in security as well as plenty of security cameras. Plus it’s less than 10 minutes to the beach as long as the drawbridge is down. Very reasonable prices as well.

Hide A Way Storage on Cortez Rd. has been a pleasurable experience for my company. The unit was clean, dry and safe. I oped for an outside unit with no air. But the units were all well maintained and the outside areas are clean with no debris around. I did have to return to our unit at different times of the day and never once felt unsafe. Yes, I recommend this place for your storage needs.

This is the 3rd time I have used the Cortez location and every time the units are clean and Tony the guy in the office has wonderful customer service skills and helps along the way for the time im there till I move my stuff out. Highly recommended

What a wonderful, positive experience today when we stopped in to Hide-Away Storage. There was no pressure, very informative as to options available and drove us around to see the available units to check to see what size we thought we would need. Toni was very professional, courteous, and helpful and the fact that my husband was blind he was sensitive to his needs and explained it so he could visualize it. He also noticed my husband was wearing a navy retired hat and asked about his service as well as thanked him for his service. He then gave us a military discount with out us even asking about it. The unit was clean and freshly painted and spread for bugs. they have 24 hour security and you can access your unit 24/7. The lock system on the unit is also not able to be cut and broken into. I would highly recommend them and feel very confident that our belongings will be safe there.

I have been shopping around all storage unit prices, sizes, etc. I have went to a couple different places, everyone was nice, but when I was at Hide-Away Storage, (8400) location, and was helped by Tony yesterday, and he explained all the great things it has, 24 hour access to my locker, it looked like brand new paint on the walls and floor .. just really clean, I was able to get a great incredible price plus double the size unit compared to a business up the road, I was sold. We first started using this location 2 years ago. We needed to adjust what we had and Tony went above our expectations in helping. He is pleasant and courteous. We recommend this location to anyone. It's a blessing to be able to know your items are taken care of and safe.

About a week ago my son came down from Tampa to help his old dad clean up a storage unit which needed a lot of TLC after 10+ years. I went to the office and spoke with Tony Medina. My dilemma was finding some space to discard the unwanted items in the shed. Tony came to our rescue and helped with providing some space in the dumpsters, since they were being emptied the next morning. That was very much appreciated by myself and my son. It was a pleasure dealing with him. He is a very responsible and professional employee of your firm.

I was a customer for around 6 years and just recently removed my unit. Not once did I ever have any issues with the company. I was always notified well ahead of time for payment or any changes. The staff was always very willing to help. I stored my entire house for 6 years in an outside unit and when we moved it not one bug, no mold, nothing! The condition of my home stuff was perfect! This is a very well maintained and clean place, not to mention wonderful 24/7 gate access. It flooded a couple times in the area and none of my things had any kind of water damage. The price was fair and reasonable. Not once did I fear for the security of my things either. I lost my keys and Tony was very helpful and had my unit open in seconds! I hope this review helps you decide to choose this company, taking my things out was bittersweet and it felt a little like leaving family.

I've been a very happy repeat Hide-Away Storage customer for over 7 years. Despite having various personal and business property in storage for months at a time, I have never had a problem with water or pest damage. Even in the heat of summer, the outside units are relatively well insulated and cool enough to work in without feeling like you were dying. The facilities are always secure, clean, very well maintained and the service has always been excellent and the prices fair. The new managers, Tony and Vivian Medina, have been professional, friendly and a great pleasure to work with. I've tried many other storage businesses in the area and find that for 10% more money, I get 100% better service and security. If its good enough to keep and store, its probably worth the minimally higher investment. I seldom write such glowing endorsements, but considering the intentionally deceptive business practices of most other local storage businesses in the area, Hide-Away deserves credit where it is due.

My experience in dealing with the manager, Tony Medina, has spoiled me in having to deal with people in my daily living. Mr. Medina treated me like a customer which I find most people have a lack of social skills while dealing with the public. I was given all the information needed for renting a storage room without me having to ask one question. I usually have to ask at least one question when dealing with purchasing something I am not familiar with, as was the case in renting a storage unit. Thank you Tony Medina for the excellent service you provided and I will be more than happy to recommend this facility.

I haven't yet Rob yet, but my husband Jim who met our movers at Hideaway tells me he saved the day. When we put our home on the market, we rented a unit to put all the stuff that clutters up a home and makes it harder for buyers to see themselves in the space. Then we sold our home with just a 17 day closing window and 26 years worth of stuff to put somewhere. Rob lined Jim up with what we thought would work just fine. The movers took one look at it and said "no possible way". Jim went immediately to Ron who set him up with an additional unit very near by. We feel lucky because many sizes are not available now. Rob saved the day. Great facility!

We were renovating our house and had to but things in storage. The best storage unit we have used so far. Security is constant; their units are clean and staff is always polite and helpful. We were always able to access our unit without any problems. in the end, we rented their truck to move our items back to our home. They refunded us for days that were not used. I would use them again.

Over the years my job as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot has caused me to move around quite a bit and I have used many different storage facilities in several states. Without hesitation, I can say that Hide-Away is by far, the nicest, cleanest and user-friendliest facility I have ever used. The staff goes out of their way to make the rental process as pleasant and smooth as possible. The free rental truck is a real bonus. Hide-Away waives the rental fee and tops off the fuel at their expense. All I was responsible for was the mileage. Another plus is the 24 hour access. Don't be fooled by the advertised low teaser rates quoted by the competition. There are no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises here. I would highly recommend this facility for your storage needs.

I rented from May until around November for over 5 years. The facility is first rate. Always VERY< VERY clear and secure. The staff have always been very professional and polite. I have only used a storage facility twice and this is by FAR the best experience. Tonia has been fantastic and their delivery/pick up driver (I wish I knew his name) was such a pleasure to work with. Thank you Hide-Away for such a wonderful experience. We love your pods!

Needed storage for about 6-7 months between moves. Fortunately Hide-Away storage provided a clean, safe, easy accessible, fair-priced service with online payment option to totally suit my situation. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

The best experience I have ever had. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. They did so much to help us when we moved in and when we were ready to move out they once again extended that same courtesy. It is by far the best storage facility and if you need to a place, you have found it.

We've had great customer service and the units are what we need them to be. We recently had to move in and out items for Christmas, etc and saw quite a few bugs and some rodent droppings. It's Florida so perhaps that should be expected as well. :)

We had rented a storage unit from the 8400 Cortez facility in 2010 when we had to put my mother in a nursing home. The move in was painless and was even offered a truck to help in the move. We live in Montana and there never one time that we had an issue with any billing, etc. I thought that when we opened the unit 4 years later that it would be a disaster, but it was all ok with no damage noted from insects, rodents, weather, etc. They were very helpful when we were trying to empty the unit also. They assisted us in having someplace to give some of the contents to when we knew we could not have any use for them. All in all, a very good run business and would defintely use it again if we ever needed.

First time being moved and the experience was awesome. Tonia walked me through the process before-hand which made the move so easy. The guys that moved us were awesome and took very good care of our furniture. Thank you!!

We stored household items here from December 2013 to April 2014. We had no problems whatsoever - the manager Tonia was VERY helpful and we found their facilities to be very clean and well lit and totally accessible 24/7. Their prices were very fair and prorated for just the days used. We would highly recommend Hide-Away Storage to everyone!

Effecient, helpful, clean space and reasonable prices. Can't ask for much more than that. I rented a space about five years ago and they have many several improvements.
